GrandWest: SunWest International’s bid presentation to the Gaming Board, which was successful and resulted in the development of GrandWest Casino and Entertainment World.

Limited edition handmade ship’s captain’s valise: The maritime theme represents Cape Town as a major port. The valise is made of Kiaat wood and has leather-bound corners and handle, and a brass name plaque.

Valise contents: 5 promotional items representing Cape Town as a port and the Western Cape’s major industries and attractions. A limited edition Buitenverwachting red wine in hand-blown bottle (wine-making), handmade wire sculpture minstrel miniature (tourism), fynbos potpourri hessian bag (unique floral biodome), brass snoek horn miniature (fishing) and a handmade strawberry (fruit farming). The items are embedded in mock sandstone to represent table Mountain and other ranges in the province.

Multimedia elements: stored beneath the ‘sandstone layer’ is a CD and instruction booklet contained in a limited edition, bespoke-engineered, steel CD case, leather-bound hardback executive summary, and a leather-bound hardback ‘coffee table’ book in a hard outer case.
